How to Get Indexed

Hi, I am WhosaGoodBlog-bot.

First Step

To add a blog to our crawl and blog database, simply go to "Add a blog." and put your url in the box and hit the "Add Blog" button. Confirmation the blog has been added will noted, or if the blog was already submitted that will be noted.

Next Step

There are no more steps, that's it your done!

So now what happens? Your blog will be manually reviewed to see if it is considered by us to be a blog. We have a very broad definition of what a blog is, so if you think it is a blog most likely we will also.

We crawl and index classic blogs, e-zines (on-line magazines) and basically any section of a website clearly marked as a blog.

Here are some things we think are NOT blogs: News, forums and wikis are not crawled or indexed. No doubt some of them have great information, they are just not blogs. Also apps, games, quizzes and dictionaries are not blogs. The potentially controversial sites that are NOT-A-BLOG are listicles. For us it needs to be a good read to be a blog.

We currently only index blogs in English.

Our Process

Typically we review blog submissions in a few business days, certainly within a week. Once the blog has been approved for crawling it will generally be crawled within 24 hours and indexed within 24 hours after that.

Posts that have been crawled can immediately appear using the "browse" features of the platform. They will not appear in the "search" results until they have been indexed. It is thus possible to find a post by browsing, and not find it when searching. The opposite is also true, once a post is indexed you will find it by searching, but may not see it when browsing. This is because the posts are ranked and the categories are broad. Given there are millions of posts, your post may not be displayed. (It will show up for a specific search.)

Promoting Your Posts

Our philosophy to helping bloggers succeed is to require as little effort on their part as possible, besides writing good original content. There is no requirement or even ability to do daily pins or flips or whatever to get attention. Ranking is based on the content, the views and likes. So write good content, view you posts from WhosagoodBlog and like your own posts. From that point it is up to the readers to express their interest and likes.

By all means, tell your friends and followers to visit WhosaGoodBlog.com and like and view your posts.

One thing that helps promote a post is a good image. While images are NOT REQUIRED for posts to be indexed on Who's a Good Blog, we prefer images for the "browse" pages. This does give them a greater chance to be viewed and liked, which in turn will increase their rank.
